HI, my name is Lisa and I look forward to meeting you! I am a Registered Massage Therapist that has a passion for helping people maintain an optimal level of health and wellness. I have always been fascinated by human anatomy and physiology and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in manual therapy. I chose Massage Therapy and graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 1999. I have been a practicing RMT ever since and I still love it! To compliment my massage practice, I have been certified at a level 1 in Craniosacral Therapy and I really want to complete the other levels. For many years, I worked in multidisciplinary clinics until I decided to take on a new challenge.
In about 2004, one of my clients sparked an interest in me to expand my passion for helping others. In 2005 I accepted a position as a full time Firefighter. I took a small break from massaging to complete my recruit training and then began doing house calls for my existing clients. I have been doing mainly mobile therapy ever since.
Earlier this year I found myself wanting to be back practicing in a clinic setting and found this wonderful space at Hillside Physiotherapy! I am a proud mom of 13-year-old twins and found that now is a perfect time to spend more time focusing on work. When I am not working I am usually doing anything to enjoy the outdoors like hiking, camping or skiing.
